The Ballots Are In. The Governor In The Walking Dead Is…

David Morrissey (State Of Play) has landed one of the most anticipated roles on AMC’s The Walking Dead. The British actor is set to join the megahit zombie drama as a new series regular in Season 3, playing The Governor, a popular character from Robert Kirkman’s graphic novel that serves as the basis for the AMC series. The Governor is the leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and becomes the chief antagonist for The Walking Dead‘s lead Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group.

Morrissey has had some pretty good roles and has been a part of a lot of, well, not so good projects lets say. However this show has done a fantastic job casting and I have complete confidence in them with this casting choice. This is a huge role for the series and yes it may not end the show if they don’t do a good job with him, but it could lead to a steep decline. How do you Walking Dead nerds feel about this?
